Paypal and ebay question about paying method wih checking account?

I have a paypal account and I set it up with my checking account number now the thing is I dont have my debit card yet but my paypal is all set up with my checking. Will my ebay payment go throw with paypal with just having my checking account included? Or do I need my debit card?
