Aren't Republicans grossly overrepresented in our Government?

I believe that moderate republicans will start quickly leaving the GOP until the party becomes a small, outspoken far-right noise machine like the Dixiecrats, and the American Nazi Party. Will Limbaugh as their appointed spokesman, I think they're over 3/4's the way there already. I predict their party will be obsolete in 12 years if they do not rethink their ideology to cater to more than the Barefoot-in-Overalls and Ascott and Champagne crowd. Who do you think will take their place?
