For menthol smokers?

how come whenever i smoke a menthol (marlboros) when ever i exhale it leaves kind of an unpleasent sweet taste in my mouth for about 10 seconds....is that just because i just recently started smoking menthols again???....will i get used to the taste??...or is it more of an aquired taste that you eventually start liking after about a week?...im kind of disapointed i don't enjoy my menthols like i used to a couple of years ago...(i just started marlboro menthols about 4 days ago again).
