How do you get melted plastic off a toaster oven?

I accidentally melted part of an imprinted plastic bag onto the top of my stainless steel toaster oven. I warmed it back up and was able to remove the plastic, but the label that was inprinted in the bag is still there. I think the label is imprinted by some sort of screening technique. I tried warming it slightly and scraping with a wooden spoon, but it's just smearing. I don't want to scratch the finish of the oven, so I'm trying to avoid abrasives. Is there some type of solvent that will take off the label?
