St. Paul, minneapolis or Dallas for snow stuff?

I am going snowboarding with my dad and we are going to be in St. Paul Minneapolis. We need to buy new snow gear, what would probably be cheaper buying the gear in Dallas, Texas (where I live) or buying it in St. Paul? I am worried I won't be able to find any good jackets and pants in st. Paul
