Humilating, horrid time. dog problems?
big loud bangs can distress a dog, he was probably scared and with you reacting scared to caused more anxiety, i understand hes a big dog and he was hard to control. the noises wasn't your fault, and you cant blame the dog either. as for the pers by they was probably scared of your dog, therefore wouldnt intervene of help very sad as that is, as for the teenagers there just immature and thought this was ammusment. i think its best you keep your dog in the safe land of yours, as you cant control him if something goes wrong. to be fair no i wouldnt have helped as the dog was in clear distress to have a stranger come and take over could have confused the dog and he could have bit, not saying he would have done this but its a possibility. my dog is going through a training programme as he is very aggressive so i know how you feel when people look and stare i dont take no one on, and i know its hard to control a big dog as my arms are killing me...
