Why wont my ac/heater blow air? It makes a click sound, but nothing comes out.?

The ac worked fine yesterday (our weather is wacky), but when I went to heat up the car this morning all it did was make a "click, click, click" sound then nothing. The sound only happens when I change the position settings... like windshield defrost, air at feet, air at face, etc. What could be wrong?
