Is it a good idea to join a clroom course for SEO? Can i learn it online?

i am a content writer. want to extend my profile to Search Engine Optimisation. How should i go about it? are there enough SEO teaching courses available in India, precisely in Delhi? or would it be sufficient to learn it online? any websites teaching SEO concepts?
