that's sad......vet prices vary by vet and all so you need to call around. I would also say start a savings account rather it be in your own bank account section a subaccount for emergency vet funds or a cookie jar where you put AT LEAST $5 a month in to use incase of an emergency. that way you will have at least something if something unexpected should happen .
