Frankenstein essay, intro help please?

im writing an essay about the gothic elements of frankenstein... i just need a couple ideas of how i should start the intro. should i talk about what a gothic novel is? but it seems to me a lot of people are doing that, so i need some ideas... im not asking for anyone to write it for me, i simply need ideas on how to start it. i would greatly appreciate it. thank you
