Could you tell me whether the UK is going to the dogs?

I can't help asking if the UK is going to the dogs when day in day out, I see or read about people behaving rudely or abusively to others, ignoring rules or regulations or traffic signs, allowing their dogs to foul the pavement, caring about nothing except celebrity scandals, baring their flesh inappropriately in public, allowing themselves to get drunk, obese, pregnant without a stable relationship, ually abusing children....Please could you think of something positive to restore my faith in this country? If you can't think of something good to say, then maybe you could give me examples of undesirable behaviours you think are common in this country.
