Can people be good/evil?

I was wondering what your thoughts are on this. Do you believe some people are inherently good and some people have an evil nature? Do you believe some people are just born good or evil and act according to their nature in life, or do you believe that everyone has some good inside of them? I have to wonder, considering all the tragedy in the world, considering people like Hitler and Stalin/child molesters/serial killers, etc. Do you think that someone can have both good and evil inside of them, be neutral, or that you are either for the darkness (evil/negativity) or you're for the light (good/positivity)? It's just a philosophical question about human nature, and there are no right or wrong answers. Do you feel safe in this world? Do you feel like it can be improved, or that it was meant to be the way that it is? It is an interesting question that I think quite a few people may wonder about, as do I, and I was just wondering what your opinions are about it. All answers from all perspectives (religious or not) are welcome.
